The 3rd Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade (LVHP), will be held on Halloween night, Wednesday, October 31, 2012.  All interested in joining the parade should arrive, in costume, at the staging area located on 4th St. and Hoover, just North of Charleston beginning at 6 p.m.  The downtown parade route is 4th Street from Charleston Ave, Northbound to the disband location at Ogden (one block North of Fremont Street).

The 3rd Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade is an all ages event committed to the cultural and imaginative life of Las Vegas and the advancement of large-scale participatory events.  The LVHP is an open forum for visual and performing artists to display their work in an environment where all can be creators as well as participants and viewers.  The Parade consists of imaginative costumes, music, mobile artwork, and the unexpected by the community and citizens of Las Vegas.

The 2010 Las Vegas Halloween parade had over 1000 participants by metro estimates and 3000 people watching the parade on the sidelines. Press from around the world reported on the parade. We had over 15 art vehicles, several bands and a few advertisers. Great fun was had by all.

The 2011 Las Vegas Halloween parade had over 3000 participants by metro estimates and 9000 people watching the parade on the sidelines. Press from around the world reported on the parade. We had over 20 art vehicles, several bands and many sponsors. It was amazing!

Flyingpan Productions LLC, produces the Las Vegas Halloween Parade. Cory Mervis is the president, founder and lead producer of the parade. She moved to Las Vegas from NYC in March of 2010. Cory has produced many large scale projects including;

2011 Las Vegas Core Project: A giant 20 foot tall showgirl built by the citizens of Las Vegas to burn at the Burning Man Event 2011.

2007 Astor Place Imagined:* Organized, designed and produced bringing Non profit theme camp mission to Burning Man 2007

2005 ART Ho! Produced Silent auction & benefit for injured children’s summer camp.

2004 VoterDrive  Conceived and executed as a non-partisan voter registration project intended to drive participation in the democratic process.  As a non-partisan group celebrating voting in a pure form, honoring the individual American’s participation in shaping government.  VoterDrive exposed people to the need to be registered, vote, and participate. Voterdrive Created the largest conceptual artwork in the world to date, by using a GPS and the roads and highways of America to create the largest GPS drawing across America spelling the word VOTE across the map.

2001 Fire Barrel Project Created and donated fire barrels to the NYC Police check points after 9/11. Collaborated artists and materials to create utilitarian civic art.

2002 Dinner Fund Raising Event Money was raised to help to create participatory, educational artwork in NYC, and fund artist’s projects.

2003 Lecture at NYC’s Cooper Union Founder of Burning Man, Larry Harvey, with moderator David Darst. Art Show at Cooper Union Art gallery featuring “Art inspired by Burning Man Festival” with over 30 artists using all sorts of mediums.

2001 Blast Furnace 1.0 & 2, Playa Style NYC’s [1]Wall Street area collaborative event NYC Wall Street area collaborative event with over 40 artists work including visual, audio, interactive art works. 1000 attendee

2001-2004 Container Project Organized hundreds of artists in shipment inter modally  to Nevada for the Burning Man event and back to NYC.

2001-2004 NYC Decompression Organized thousands of artists & participants over 4 years, events for over 3,000+ people
